Favorite Book Summary
In the book Ramona Quimby age 8, she has her first day of the 3rd grade and she has a big problem. It’s a boy that gets on her nerves and she has an accident. When she gets on the bus, the bus aide tells them to sit anywhere. She sat in the second seat from the back. She was first sitting comfortably, but then a boy named Danny kept kicking her in the back of her seat. Then she said “quit it.” The bus aide told him to stop but he kept going on and on.
She just ignored him but then he did it again and her favorite pink eraser fell. Ramona didn’t notice! When they were about to get off the bus she noticed she didn’t have her favorite pink eraser. Ramona said to the bus aide, “I lost my eraser!!” Then Danny started to say ” is it pink? “ . Ramona started yelling ”give it to me! “ He was now her worst enemy. They fought in the halls but then Danny gave the eraser back.
After they all finished their homeroom part of the day they went to lunch. Ramona wanted to fit in with the crowd so she told her mother to boil her an egg. Her mom was rushing today and didn’t boil it . Ramona said that her mom said it was tradition to crack the egg on your head for good luck.
She cracked the egg on her head and everybody went “OOHH,” at the same time!!! She felt the tears running down her face. She felt embarrassed and horrible. When she finished that day of school she got sick and went home for a whole 2 weeks. The school year was over and she was happy that Christmas came. That year was sort of the best but not . Maybe next year will be better!!
Water Cycle Rain Drop
I am a raindrop and my name is Christina. I go to different places. I was once groundwater and turned into a lake. I evaporated by the heat of the sun and turned into water vapor. After that I went into the very bushy cumulus cloud. When I was precipitating I fell from the sky. It was like a rollercoaster. It was amazing and awesome! I went straight down to form a puddle. I just went, plump! Then I turned into groundwater again! I soaked into the soil and I was squishy as a frog. I screamed, “Oh no!” I’m not water. I’m just squishy and watery. It was like a fairy tale. After I went to the clouds I fell to the ground in the form of a solid because it was so cold in Italy. Then I started the cycle all over again!!
2009 Inauguration
I feel that Barak Obama is a good president because he will help people like my dad get a job because certain places, they have to shut in down. When my sister was telling me how slavery was here back in the days and how if Abraham Lincoln was not here and also Martin Luther King Jr was not here either, that we would still be slaves. Also your parents and grandparents would be a slaves too. The inauguration today on the television was an important situation. When Obama made the speech and swore his oath, that was the most important thing. I thought that I was going to cry. What I learned is that when something important happens or something serious comes on TV, that I need to pay attention to what is going on. What happened today with president Obama was very important. Having an african american presidant is the most wonderful thing that has ever happened since I was born. I know that Barak Obama is very exited to be the first african american president. It was the most important moment of my nine years.(Of my life.) I felt alot when he swore. Before we watched it Mrs. Travis was talking about how the Berlin Wall separated East Germany and West Germany. She was talking about how the family that she never met was on the other side and how she just started crying when she saw it on TV. She was very sad.
A Christmas Surprise
Once upon a time there were three sisters. Two of them were Chloe and Tionie, who got all the attention. They got all the boys and got everything they wanted. Then there was Diadra, the jealous one. She was nice, but she was mad because Chloe and Tionie are twins and were older than her. Her mom’s name was Sierra. She always let her daughters do what they wanted to do. Their grandma Betty, was the best person in their life. She would bake cookies and call them to them that she has a surprise. She was the nicest person.
One day grandma knitted a sock for each one of her grandchildren. They were so happy that they wanted to give her a present, but LaVar hates Christmas and tries to ruin it. They finally give her the present, but LaVar snatched it away. They found him and called the police, who locked him up. Then years after that Christmas were not ruined at all.
